C1 Driver Training for Student Paramedic & NHS Ambulance Staff

DMP Training offer a “one-stop” practical solution for anyone who is training to become a paramedic or join the NHS ambulance service.

As an ambulance service driver, you will need a minimum of a C1 category licence which allows you to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonne.

DMP Training provides intensive ambulance training courses to enable you to drive a vehicle of this type and pass the relevant driving test.

To complete this training, you will need to have a medical, pass your module 1 Theory Test and Hazard Perception Test, and apply to the DVLA for a provisional licence.

The Training

Our C1 driver training sessions will prepare you for the two practical tests you need to pass.

This consists of an exercise reversing the vehicle in an S-shaped pattern into a bay.

This takes place on the last training day most frequently from the DVSA Ipswich test centre.
